Orford Music Academy is an amazing place to attend if you really want to hone in on your craft. Not only is there ample time for practice, but you also are constantly meeting with your teacher over the course of a week, which means that you’re gaining an incredible amount of knowledge in such a short time. The students are all incredibly talented and it’s always exciting to hear everyone perform. I especially enjoyed getting to meet the other students, as well as having the opportunity to explore the surrounding nature and the towns neighboring the academy

Jason is an undergraduate student at the Cleveland Institute of Music studying with Dr. Melissa Kraut. He joined the Orford Music Academy in 2019 for the first time. Jason took part in masterclasses with Yegor Dyachkov, Michel Strauss and Lluis Claret
What I like most about Orford Music is first and foremost its idyllic and inspiring setting, ideal for working in the best possible conditions. In my opinion, nothing is better for an artist than to rehearse in an inspiring environment that helps him be at his best. The Academy allows us to learn not only through practice, but also by observing others’ progression and hearing their interpretations. This is valuable for any performer and it is rare to have the chance to experience it on a daily basis. The teaching quality is simply exceptional

Camille is a graduate student at the Université de Montréal in Catherine Sévigny’s studio. She participated in the ‘’Voice and Piano Duet’’ class at the Orford Music Academy in 2017, 2018 and 2019, with Nathalie Paulin, Francis Perron and David Lutz
What I love most about Orford is the amount of individual instruction students receive. The teachers are excellent and I find that every week I am exposed to fresh new perspectives. Due to the classes’ small size, there have been weeks at the Academy when I have had the incredible opportunity to receive individual lessons daily. There are abundant performance opportunities too!

What I love about the Academy is that it provided me the opportunity to work closely together with outstanding musicians from all over the world in a beautiful, natural setting. I learned so much not only from working with amazing teachers but also from interacting with my peers, who would constantly inspire me and help me to play at a higher level”
