    • Study with Anders Åstrand in improvisation at the Orford Music Academy

Now a classic at the Academy, the Improvisation Workshop is back for the fifth year!

This workshop is designed for instrumentalists and singers with interest in new music who want to develop and improve their improvisational technique. The participation of performers/composers is greatly encouraged.

The renowned percussionist and composer Anders Åstrand will guide students in this intensive one-week workshop.

Bass trombonist, Peter Isaac, will be assisting Mr. Astrand throughout this workshop by teaching and playing alongside students. This additional support will enable students to grasp the basics of improvisation and to progress more quickly.

This workshop represents the perfect opportunity to find inspiration through creative labs and stimulating conversations!
