Dantonio studied at McGill University with pianist Richard Raymond, obtaining his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Performance, and received the “ outstanding achievement in piano ” mention. Over the years, he’s had the incredible opportunity to work with several world-renowned masters such as Monique Deschaussées, Jean-Michel Damase, Jean-Paul Sévilla, Clermont Pépin, and Marc Durand.

At age 13, Dantonio won first prize at the Canadian Music Competition and was awarded the highest grade in piano among all age groups. As a result, Yamaha awarded him a bursary of excellence, and he was invited by the Canadian Consulate of Mexico to tour with an orchestra in Mexico City.

In addition, Dantonio had the opportunity to perform Mozart at the Salle Maisonneuve of Place des Arts on several occasions with the McGill Chamber Orchestra directed by Alex and Boris Brott, as well as the Grieg Concerto with the Longueuil Symphonic Orchestra and their maestro Marc David.

Currently, Dantonio is a teaching collaborative pianist at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal and a supernumerary member of the Orchestre Métropolitain. He teaches classical piano at the CEGP Marie-Victorin, as well as other institutions such as the École de Musique de Verdun.
