Nataliia Babanova is a Russian-Canadian pianist. She obtained her master’s degree at the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory of Music (St. Petersburg, Russia), where her mentor was Pavel Egorov, the pianist, editor and honorary member of the International Schumann Society (Düsseldorf). After completing her master’s degree, Nataliia worked as a piano coach in the Lieder and Melody Department of the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. Her professional career was marked by her active participation in the musical life of Russia and by international competitions, where she was twice crowned laureate. Nataliia continued her doctoral training at the Université de Montréal under Francis Perron. She’s been working as a piano coach in voice, trumpet and clarinet classes at the Université de Montréal since 2018, as well as at the Académie internationale vocale de Lachine and at Camp Musical Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean (opera workshop). She also offers accompaniment workshops for pianists at the Université de Montréal.
