      The mode of delivery for the 2022 Orford Music Academy (in-person or virtual) will be determined in April 2022, in accordance with the current global situation and local health guidelines. Offering a stellar faculty, the Academy promises a rewarding experience no matter the setting!

    • For your application to be considered, you will need to submit the following:

      Your musical biography (approximately 250 words) 

      Your headshot 

      A copy of your most recent diploma or transcript

      These items should be emailed to Orford at admissions@orford.mu after your complete your registration form. 
       

      Audition Video Requirements 

       

      Your video must be submitted as one or more public or unlisted links on YouTube or Vimeo, accessible directly without a password. 

       

      Instrumental Master Classes  

      •  High-quality video recording including two works of various styles, which must include a work from the standard virtuosic repertoire 

      • Maximum 15 minutes in length
      • Recorded after July 1, 2021

       

      Vocal Master Classes 

      •  High-quality video recording including three contrasting pieces from the repertoire of the French mélodie and the German Lied; one opera or oratorio aria will be accepted 
      • Maximum 15 minutes in length
      • Recorded after July 1, 2021

       

      Baroque Music Workshop 

      • High-quality video recording including two works of various styles, which must include a work from the standard virtuosic repertoire
      • Maximum 15 minutes in length
      • Recorded after July 1, 2021

       

      Composition Workshop 

      • Audio or video recording of two recent compositions
      • Scores of the two compositions (in .pdf format)
      • Letter of intent (describing your academic progress and your expectations for the workshop)

       

      Contemporary Music Workshop 

      • High-quality video recording including two works of various styles, which should ideally include contemporary music works
      • Maximum 15 minutes in length

       

      Improvisation Workshop  

      • High-quality video recording including two works of various styles, which should ideally include an improvisation
      • Maximum 15 minutes in length
      • Recorded after July 1, 2021

       

      Proof of Citizenship Requirements
