Audition material
The registration period for the 2024 Academy is over. Master classes and workshops are taking place between June 9 and August 3.
Important: To have your admission application considered, you must complete the registration form, pay the admission fees, and send all necessary audition materials to the following address: admissions@orford.mu.

For your application to be considered, you will need to submit the following:
Your audition video – Consult the list of requirements by program presented further down this page.
Your musical biography (approximately 250 words).
Your headshot.
A copy of your most recent diploma or transcript.
Proof of citizenship – Please review the information below to determine which document(s) you need to submit.
These items should be emailed to Orford at admissions@orford.mu after your complete your registration form.
Audition Video Requirements
Your video must be submitted as one or more public or unlisted links on YouTube or Vimeo, accessible directly without a password.
Instrumental Master Classes
- High-quality video recording including two works of various styles, which must include a work from the standard virtuosic repertoire
- Maximum 15 minutes in length
- Recorded after July 1, 2023
Vocal Master Classes and Voice and Piano Duo
- High-quality video recording of three pieces from the Art Song repertoire, including a German lied, a French melody and a piece of your choice. One opera or oratorio aria will be accepted
Total duration of approximately 15 minutes
Recorded after July 1, 2023
Chamber music workshop (collectif9) and Orford Winds Workshop
- High-quality video recording including two works of various styles, which must include a work from the standard virtuosic repertoire
- Maximum 15 minutes in length
- Recorded after July 1, 2023
Composition and Contemporary Music Workshop
For performers:
- High-quality video recording including two works of various styles, which must include a work from the standard virtuosic repertoire
- Maximum 15 minutes in length
- Recorded after July 1, 2023
For composers:
- Recordings (audio or video) of two of your recent works, with a total duration of approximately 15 minutes (MIDI simulations will be accepted if audio recordings are not available)
- Sheet music for the presented works
- A cover letter briefly explaining your artistic approach and the aspects you wish to explore during the workshop (maximum 500 words)
