      Denis Brott

      Faculty: Denis Brott Musical Instrument: Cello

      Founder and Artistic Director of the renowned Montreal Chamber Music Festival (1995), Professor of Cello and Chamber Music (since 1989), and Conductor of the Grand Orchestre à cordes at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal, Denis Brott is internationally recognized as one of Canada’s finest musicians.

      His concert tours have taken him to four continents as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. A former cellist of the Orford String Quartet for nearly a decade, he has recorded 25 albums, including the complete Beethoven string quartets.

      During your stay at Orford Music, you will create unforgettable memories while evolving into the artist you aspire to be. Orford Music’s master classes are unique opportunities to work on your goals with the mentors of your choice.

      The master classes include the following:

      • Master classes, individual lessons or technical courses lasting 2.5 hours per week
      • Opportunity to perform in student concerts
      • Access to a collaborative pianist
      • Networking activities with faculty members and the student community
      • Accommodation in double occupancy and three meals per day.
      • Practice studios equipped with pianos (available from 7AM to 12AM)
      • Housekeeping, laundry facilities, parking, and free Wi-Fi
      • Free tickets for concerts at Salle Gilles-Lefebvre (subject to availability)
      • Opportunity to discover the beautiful landscapes of Parc national du Mont-Orford, the majestic Lake Memphremagog, and the tourist activities of the city of Magog
      • Rehearsal studios equipped with pianos (available from 6AM to 11PM)
