      Denis Bluteau completed his studies in music at the Conservatoire de musique de Chicoutimi, under the direction of Mr. Jean Morin, as well as the University of Montreal, under the direction of Mr. Robert Langevin, where he obtained a Master of Music degree in performance (Flute) in 1988.

      Denis Bluteau was successively a member of the National Ballet of Canada Orchestra, in Toronto, from 1990 to 1991, and a member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra from 1991 to 1993. From 1993 to 2015, he was Associate Principal Flute of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, an orchestra with which he participated in numerous international tours and being a member of the chamber music ensemble Musicamerata Montréal. Since 2015, he is second solo flute in the OSM. Denis Bluteau performed in solo with the Orchestre symphonique de Sherbrooke, as well as the Société philharmonique de Montréal.

      Denis Bluteau currently teaches flute at the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal and the McGill Schulich School of Music.
