Establishing herself quickly as a distinguished performer and educator, Ukrainian-Canadian pianist Mariya Orlenko is the Grand Prize winner of the Canadian Music Competition and has received top accolades from the Virginia Waring International Piano Competition and the OSM Manulife Competition. Most recently, Mariya was chosen as the winner of the prestigious 2024 Orford Music Award, and the University of Toronto DMA Piano Recital Competition.Mariya was a proud recipient of The Hnatyshyn Foundation Ukraine-Heritage, Spirit and Future Grant in 2023. Her performances have earned critical acclaim at renowned events such as the Arthur Rubinstein International Youth Piano Competition in Beijing and the Aarhus International Piano Competition.
