The Return of Martin James Bartlett

British pianist Martin James Bartlett, acclaimed for his technical mastery and sensitivity, will present an eloquent program, with Mozart, Chopin, and Fauré at its heart.

He will perform, among others, Mozart’s Piano Sonata, K.331, sparkling with elegance and vivacity, as well as the renowned Nocturnes by Chopin and Fauré, jewels of the French repertoire. Filled with color and brilliance, the works of Granados and Grünfeld will alternate between dazzling passages and dramatic accents, while pieces by Bach and Handel will bring clarity and balance.

This recital is designed for both seasoned music lovers and those discovering these masterpieces. A moment of pure piano poetry, to be savored without moderation!

Martin James Bartlett possesses a fearless technique and plays with a maturity and elegance far beyond his years. The British pianist is the inaugural recipient of the Prix Serdang in 2022, a Swiss prize curated by Rudolf Buchbinder in recognition of the achievements of a promising young pianist while forging an international solo career. Bartlett is an exclusive recording artist with Warner Classics and his discs have received five-star reviews and critical acclaim.

Highlights of Bartlett’s 2024/25 season include debuts at the Lucerne and Moritzburg summer festivals, a return to the Concertgebouw, and two chamber music recitals at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
