    • Stick&Bow : Perturbons le silence au Festival Orford Musique 2025
AN INVITATION FROM THE YOUNG PHILANTHROPISTS COMMITTEE OF ORFORD MUSIC

      Concert

Stick&Bow, 2024 Performer of the Year (Prix Opus), presents Disrupting the Silence, a powerful exploration of artistic defiance and resilience. In this politically charged performance, the duo unveils the untold stories of musical geniuses whose mental health was questioned simply for daring to dream of a better world. From Beethoven to Bowie, Lennon to Simone, Parra to Puebla, classical, popular, and folk music intertwine in a celebration of creativity and the spirit of resistance. With cello and marimba, Stick&Bow’s compelling storytelling will lead the way in this unforgettable performance.

A composition by Alexandre Amat will be presented at this concert thanks to a collaboration with the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec (SMCQ), which will celebrate its 60th anniversary next year.

Each ticket sold will help support Orford Music’s mission.

      Stick&Bow
Born in the vibrant city of Montréal, the duo Stick&Bow (cello and marimba) emerged from the collaboration of two passionate, energetic and complementary young musicians. Honored with two prestigious 2024 Opus Awards (Performer of the Year and International Outreach), Stick&Bow captivates audiences with its powerful stage presence, genuine connection with the public, carefully crafted staging and a bold repertoire.

Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon and McGill University, Canadian Krystina Marcoux and Argentine Juan Sebastian Delgado combine their classical roots with a shared creative vision that embraces a wide range of musical styles. Through original arrangements, their concerts offer a fresh take on some of the most iconic works in history, transformed by the unique pairing of marimba and cello.
