Opening Concert
For the opening of the Festival, the prestigious string orchestra Les Violons du Roy invites you to a breathtaking musical evening. Under the inspired direction of Thomas Le Duc-Moreau, this renowned ensemble will present a striking repertoire, blending dramatic tension with enchanting lyricism.
Featuring Janáček’s Sonata for Kreutzer, experience inner turmoil and the intensity of the strings, leading you through an emotional whirlwind. From the film Psycho, Bernard Herrmann’s suite for strings will immerse you in an atmosphere of suspense and chills. In the second movement of Schubert’s Death and the Maiden quartet, you’ll encounter a melody of tragic beauty and palpable tension. Finally, Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 16, Op. 135, rich in nuances and depth, will conclude the evening with a moving inner quest.
